Look I have lost track of my runs. I must confess I got into the blogging thing partly to keep a record of runs but also to tell the world that I'M RUNNING!
Well I am sort of over that now. Not the running part. The feeling the need to put it up on the web and mention it in everyday conversation part.
Example
Adelaide Acquaintance: "Hey Tony, Long time no see
insert: awkward handshake that neither party knows
What you been up too? Touring and stuff?"
Tony: "Yeah a bit of touring and recording, oh and a lot of running hey."
Adelaide Acquaintance: "Oh really, What you run?"
Tony: " Yeah like everyday man. Its a way of life man. Anyway man I cant stay and chat man I gotta go walk over there now. I'll see you around though, You know in the clubs and stuff man."
Adelaide Acquaintance: " Yeah no worries Tony, I guess I'll see you around."
Tony walks off man….
Adelaide Acquaintance: " You know I really hate that guy, man."
So…I have all of these screen grab maps on my desktop from when I run without my Garmin watch (odometer, GPS running thing) and plenty of synced Garmin maps. But I have left this blog untouched for so long that I cant really remember which is which. Except those few memorable runs of course.
And those few are:
The runs I had in Brazil, Particularly the run in Parque Ibirapeura . Amazing place. Like Sao Paulo's version of Central Park NY.
umm....
A couple of Bondi to Bronte runs - These are always nice. I always feel mega-Australian for some reason when I do these.
Some beach runs in Adelaide have been enjoyable, some bare feet with blisters, some with shoes. Some with no top and sunburn, some with a hat and a top on.
Also, recently I have been running with a mate. I have never run with anyone before and I got to say although it has its challenges in terms of mental stamina I kind of enjoy it. Its been good results wise actually. Before these "buddy" runs I have to say that I have been slipping a little. Getting 4 or 5Km into a run and picking the quickest run home. Not Good, but the two runs I have done so far with a mate have clocked 13 and 12 km respectively.
Japeye's to Waterfull Gully and back
This morning: Somerton to Westbeach caravan park and back. nice weather. Nice swim after.
There are heaps more but to be hones, I cant dont really want to spend an hour uploading them. Mum just made me a Schnitzel so I am going to go eat that instead.
